Small overlap front

The small overlap front evaluation consists of a driver-side and a passenger-side component. If the results of the two evaluations differ, then the combined small overlap rating is equal to the lower rating.

Driver-side

Tested vehicle: 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Premium 4-door 4wd
Rating applies to 2026 models

The Subaru Crosstrek and Subaru Impreza were redesigned for the 2024 model year. Driver-side small overlap frontal ratings are assigned by the Institute based on a test of a 2024 Crosstrek conducted by Subaru. These ratings also apply to the Subaru Crosstrek hybrid, introduced in the 2026 model year.

About the small overlap front test

Side: updated test

Tested vehicle: 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Limited Hybrid 4-door 4wd
Rating applies to 2026 models

The Subaru Crosstrek was redesigned for the 2024 model year. Beginning with 2026 models, Subaru added a rear side thorax airbag to improve rear occupant safety in side impact crashes. Side 2.0 ratings are assigned by the Institute based on a test of a 2026 Crosstrek conducted by Subaru. These ratings apply to the Subaru Crosstrek hybrid, introduced in the 2026 model year but not to the Subaru Impreza.

On the straightaway, visibility was good on both sides of the road. On curves, visibility was good in all 4 tests.

The low beams never exceeded glare limits.

High beams
On the straightaway, visibility was good on the right side of the road and fair on the left side. On curves, visibility was good in all 4 tests.
