The photos and videos shown here may be of a different model, model year or body type from the one selected. In addition, a test of a vehicle from one model year may apply to earlier or later model years if the vehicle hasn't been significantly redesigned.

The Dodge Dakota was redesigned for the 2005 model year and discontinued after the 2011 model year. The Mitsubishi Raider was introduced in the 2006 model year and discontinued after the 2009 model year.

Injury measures

Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on both tibias indicate that injuries to the lower left leg would be likely and injuries to the lower right leg would be possible.

Restraints and dummy kinematics

Dummy movement was well controlled. After the dummy moved forward into the airbag, it rebounded into the seat without its head coming close to any stiff structure that could cause injury.
