The Kia Sorento was introduced in the 2003 model year. Kia has made seat belt and frontal airbag modifications and added a knee airbag beginning with 2007 models, so these ratings do not apply to vehicles built after the 2006 model year.

Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was reasonably well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head hit the B-pillar. Plus the driver's seat tipped toward the door.
