Test details:

The Honda Odyssey was introduced in the 1995 model year, and the Isuzu Oasis was introduced in 1996 (the Oasis continued through the 1999 model year).

Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was reasonably well controlled. After moving forward into the airbag, the dummy's head moved to the left, sliding off the airbag toward the driver door as the steering wheel moved upward.

Injury measures — Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the left tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be likely.

Left to right:

  • Action shot taken during the frontal offset crash test.
  • Post-crash test shot.
  • The position of the steering wheel after the offset test shows the excessive vertical movement that occurred during the impact.

Additional features:

  • Antilock brakes
