Shu C. Lin is elected HLDI board chairman

ARLINGTON, VA — The Highway Loss Data Institute is pleased to announce the election of Shu C. Lin as the new chairman of its Board of Directors. Lin is vice president and actuary, Chubb & Son, a division of Federal Insurance Company. She succeeds Laurette Stiles, vice president, strategic resources, State Farm, who served as HLDI chairman in 2008 and will continue to serve as a Board member.

"The work HLDI does to understand insurance losses to achieve lower costs for the public is important, and I'm proud to be working toward this goal," Lin says. HLDI president Adrian Lund adds, "This is important work insurers undertake together, and I'm pleased that HLDI gains such a strong leader."
