Important: Frontal crash test ratings should be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.

The Toyota Avalon was introduced in the 1995 model year.

Injury measures

Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the left tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be likely. Forces on the right knee indicate that injuries to the knee would be possible. Head acceleration from the B-pillar hit was low.

Restraints and dummy kinematics

Dummy movement was well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head hit the B-pillar.
