Important: Frontal crash test ratings should be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.

The 2000 Honda Passport is a twin of the tested vehicle.

The Isuzu Rodeo and the Honda Passport were redesigned for the 1998 model year and structurally modified beginning with 2000 models to improve occupant protection in frontal crashes.

Injury measures

Measures taken from the chest indicate low risk of injuries to this body region in a crash of this severity. Forces on the head indicate that injuries to the head would be likely. Forces on the neck and right foot indicate that injuries to the neck and right foot would be possible. Acceleration on the left foot indicate that injury to the foot would be likely. Head acceleration from the roof rail hit was low.

Restraints and dummy kinematics

Dummy movement wasn't well controlled. During rebound, the dummy moved toward the driver door. Its head leaned through the open side window and approached but did not hit the window sill. Then the head moved up and hit the roof rail.
