Important: Frontal crash test ratings should be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.

The Honda CR-V was introduced in the 1997 model year.

Injury measures

Measures taken from the neck and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the head occurred when the dummy's head hit the steering wheel through the airbag, indicating that injuries to the head would be possible. Forces on the left tibia and left knee indicate that injuries to the lower leg and knee would be likely. Head acceleration from the B-pillar hit was low.

Restraints and dummy kinematics

Dummy movement was reasonably well controlled. Steering wheel movement contributed to the dummy's head bottoming out the airbag and hitting the steering wheel. During rebound from the airbag, the dummy moved toward the driver door, and its head hit the B-pillar.
