Important: Frontal crash test ratings should be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.

The 1999 Chevrolet Prizm is a twin of the tested vehicle.

The Toyota Corolla and Chevrolet Prizm were redesigned for the 1998 model year.

Injury measures

Measures taken from the head, neck, chest, and right leg indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the left tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible. Head acceleration from the B-pillar hit was too low to record.

Restraints and dummy kinematics

Dummy movement wasn't well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head leaned leftward, through the open window, and hit the B-pillar. There was too much upward movement of the steering wheel.
