The Cadillac Seville was redesigned for the 1992 model year. Frontal airbags for both the driver and passenger became standard beginning with the 1993 model year.
Injury measures
Measures taken from the head, neck, chest, and left leg indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be likely. Head acceleration from the window sill hit was low.
Restraints and dummy kinematics
Dummy movement wasn't well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head hit the window sill. There was too much rearward movement and far too much upward movement of the steering wheel.
